Anita Barone

A versatile stage actress who is mostly restricted to sitcoms on TV, Anita Barone received her best shot in the medium when she played partner of Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC between 1995 and. Barone's first stage appearance was at the age of five years old, in Detroit in the city to which her family been relocated following their move to the city from St Louis. In her early twenties she was in more than 50 productions mostly for university productions as well as regional theatres. She was Juliet, a frightened young nun in "Agnes of God," Helen Keller, the main character in "Monday After the Miracle,"" as well as Juliet reprised on screen in "Romeo and Juliet." She also played an appearance in a movie that was titled "Ricochet". Barone also appeared in a scene in "The Rozary Murders". Then, in the year 1996, she played the main character in an uninvolved romantic comedy called "Just Friends". Barone was commissioned by NBC in the 1990-91 time frame as a shareholder for "Carol & Company" which was the failed effort by Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety program. Barone was also on"Wounded Heart," a USA Network movie "Wounded Heart" in 1995. She returned to weekly sitcoms with her co-star in "Daddio", NBC 2000 along alongside Michael Chiklis.
