Maureen FitzSimons' early achievements in performing arts (now known as Maureen O'Hara), would be considered, at least in the eyes of America, into the category of child prodigy. This was a very natural trait for a girl who was of Irish heritage, that was surrounded during her early days by talented relatives and parents. Maureen moved into this loving home on August 17, 20th in Ranelagh. Marguerita LIlburn FitzSimons, her mom. She was an accomplished contralto. Charles FitzSimons was a successful businessman from Dublin who also owned a part of the Irish soccer team Shamrock Rovers. Maureen FitzSimons' was the second FitzSimons kid. Peggy FitzSimons Florrie Charles B. Fitzsimons Margot Fitzsimons James O'Hara made up this family. Maureen was an athlete at heart and enjoyed playing tough athletic games. The combination of this natural interest and her talent in performing was astonishing. This was apparent when she was awarded each Feis for drama and theater the Irish had to provide. The Abbey Theater was her first choice. Abbey Theater by age 14, and she was able to fulfill her goals of opera as well as classical theater and singing.
