Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father was an elementary school teacher, and her mother as a stay at home mom. Her older brothers are: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick started dancing and singing in her early years and frequently performed show-like puppets in front of children in her area. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see whether McCormick was interested in getting into the world of entertainment. McCormick was commissioned to perform in her first big role in 1964 in the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the following year she appeared in an additional firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was quickly chosen to play the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned to play the youngest daughter of the towheaded trio in The Brady Bunch. The show featured Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year duration in the series. He was just 19. She was 16. She told me that it could be possible, however we didn't have the proper time to do it.
